October 8, 2013 at 9:00 AM - SAA Weekly Meeting

Rationale:  We distributed the Fas-Break Achievement Awards for 1st Quarter. 

Rationale:  We discussed the impact of the NETA Conference in Kearney.  The teachers and administrators in attendance found it to be a great conference and seemed to find something of interest for everyone.  We also discussed the need to possibly bring in a speaker to work with our students, staff, and parents prior to developing a district-wide plan for technology. 

Rationale:  Michelle told me the board meeting was not showing up in her list of meetings.  I am not sure why this is happening, but please let me know if a meeting is not showing up on your site.  Remember to submit your board reports this week.  I will publish the board meeting on Friday morning, so please try to get your reports posted by Thursday evening.  Thanks

Rationale:  I will plan to ask the board to amend the 2013-14 school calendar to reflect the parent-teacher conference change from:
December 4th to December 5th and no school for students on December 6th.
February 19th to February 20th.  Mid-Winter Break is scheduled for February 21st.

Rationale:  The board of education will be asked to set a time and date for the 2014 strategic planning session.   We also will need to think about who will be involved in the initial meeting.
