Rationale:  Meeting Attendees:  Dr. Hoesing, Mrs. Schlautmann, Mrs. Thumann, Mrs. Knutson, Mrs. Vacha, and Mrs. Healy

1.  P-T Conference Changes:  The board of education approved amending the school calendar as follows:
     A.  Move December Parent-Teacher Conferences from December 4th to the 5th. We also visited about how parent-teacher conferences are conducted at each building.  The importance of conference goals and the parent-teacher relationship focus at each building.
     B.  Excuse students from attendance on Friday, December 6th.   Staff Planning Session planned for the morning
     C.  Move February Parent-Teacher Conferences from February 19th to the 20th.  Mid-Winter Break on Friday.

2. Crisis Team Workshop:   The district crisis team attended a two day workshop in Omaha.  The workshop focused on dealing with death in schools.  We learned new strategies to improve our communication and provide additional support to staff during and following a crisis event. 

3.  Inclement Weather:  We are in the process of updating our inclement weather school dismissal information.  We added Karrie Healy and Cindy Vacha to the initial contact information to facilitate  communication staff at the pre-school and satellite buildings.

4.  School Check-In: We are investigating an automated school check-in system to manage visitors, students checking out or in throughout the school day, student identification for field trips, volunteer ID's, etc...

5.  District Website:  We are working on expanding our webpage layout to expand our ability to communicate across the district.  Kerri Jo will also dedicate 10 hours per week to replace Dawn Prescott who returned to the classroom full-time.

6.  Strategic Planning:  We have moved the date for the board planning session to December.  Staff will meet on December 6th to review topics for board consideration and give input to the board for their consideration.  We visited about the possible format used to encourage input from staff in small groups.  While staff has been involved in school improvement in the past, strategic planning expands to include budget and finance, buildings and grounds, requisition and inventory, curriculum, etc...

7.  2014-15 Health Insurance Rates: See attached information from Blue Cross/Blue Shield.  The updated plan for 2014-15 offers the same deductible, but a change in out-of-pocket limits.  See Attached Information.
