MEETING 11/04/13 @ 12 NOON – 1:00 P.M.

Treasurer’s Report – unofficial total balance $115,037

· Paid bill to City of Schuyler for fees from Labor Day dance

· Received a $50 donation from Robin & Lynnette Stevens in Memory of Alan Kruse

· Received check from Pepsi for 5,000

Discussion: Minutes from the November Schuyler Community Schools Foundation meeting Members Present: Lumir Jedlicka, Brian Vavricek, Virginia Semerad, Sandy Seckman and Dan Hoesing Members Absent: Clinton Parr and Victor Lopez Others Present: Shelley Friesz, Joyce Baumert, Lora Johnson and Sheri Balak Brian Vavricek called the meeting to order Secretary Report/Minutes • Motion made by Sandy to approve the September 9th, 2013 minutes were 2nd by Virginia and passed by the members • Motion made by Virginia to approve the October 7, 2013 minutes were 2nd by Sandy and passed by the members Treasurer’s Report New Business Discussed the taking over the Alumni Website • Kem was not present at the meeting • Brian gave a report on the alumni website from the October meeting • Motion by Lumir and 2nd by Virginia to take over the website in January 2014 and continue to work with Micheal Doernaman was approved by the board • Dr. Hoesing will be the Alumni Website committee chairman Goals • Changing or amending the 2nd goal was discussed • Will keep the 2nd goal but will amend the date to August 2014 • Motion by Dan and 2nd by Virginia to add 3rd goal to conduct feasibility study on possible new construction on high school building Committee Reports Labor Day- Brian • Brian reported that Andy Cada and Ben Wilshusen would liketo take over the basketball tourney for next Labor Day weekend • Foundation to fund the event and take the profits Scholarship- Sandy • Received a check from Pepsi for $5,000 to fund 5 scholarships Education- Lora • 1st quarter Outstanding Educator is Teresa Mentzer ° Need to set up time to present the certificate and take picture for the paper Performing Arts Center • Discussed about having feasibility study done • Paul Strawhecker to meet with school board on Nov 11th meeting and give short presentation Distinguished Alumni award- Joyce and Sheri • Presented press release to send to Schuyler Sun and put on alumni website • Anonymous donations were made to the award • Present the award at graduation and possibly incorporate with the Pepsi/Foundation scholarship Sandy reported that the foundation will be doing after hours in January or February 2014 Brian adjourned the meeting Next meeting will be December 2nd at noon at the Schuyler Chamber of Commerce
