I. Discussion Items
Rationale:
1. Teacher Interviews and Staff Assignments: Instrumental Music is hired. Special Education and Language Arts interviews will be worked on during the week of March 24th.
2. Teacher Requisitions: The first round of requisitions from the ESU Coop are due Friday, April 4th. We will release the second round of requisitions for textbooks, furniture, and equipment, not available through the ESU Coop on Monday, April 7th and due on Monday, May 5th. 3. NeSA Testing: We will begin NeSA testing next week and will continue to host our weekly SAA meetings on Monday rather than conflict with NeSA testing in your buildings 4. Curriculum Cycle: The Curriculum Cycle Program is ready for use, but cannot be deployed until we get the new server and get it setup. We were notified last week that the Apple server ordered in February would not be here until July, so we cancelled that server and ordered a large PC server. It is supposed to be here before April 1st and we will get it online immediately. We will have to put filemaker on all laptops in order to be able to access these programs. 5. Staff Supervision and Evaluations: Make sure you continue with classroom observations, especially during the NeSA testing times. All second semester evaluations should be completed by April 30th. 6. Strategic Planning: Board committees for Building and Grounds, Technology, Governance and Administration, and School Climate will meet on Tuesday and Thursday evenings. You are welcome to attend any and all meetings if available. I will visit individually with each building principal about follow-up meetings with your staff to develop action plans for your buildings where required. 7. Summer School Staffing: We need to begin finalizing staffing for the summer school sessions in each building. Dave Gibbons will be compiling and submitting a list of staff selected from each building to work in the summer school program. 8. Teacher Contracts: We will be putting teacher contracts out on Friday for all returning teachers in your buildings. In the past, your teachers were given a letter of intent, these contracts will replace that system. All contracts must be signed and returned by April 11th for board approval on the 14th. |
