One Good Thing!

1.  Return-to-Learn Plan:  We are required to review the Return-to-Learn Plan and present it to the board of education for their approval.   We will be operating in the "GREEN" on our Return to Learn Plan for the start of the school year.  We will need to continue to monitor student absences as we did last year, so that our protocols are based on accurate information.

2.  2022-23 Requisitions:  Please forward any questions or concerns from the 2022-23 requisitions to Kady.  She will review the requisitions and get back to you on the status of anything missing.

3.  Parent/Student Handbooks:  Please review and submit updated handbooks to Kady to be uploaded to your building website.  If you have any questions, refer to the July 11th board meeting for final changes.

4.  Parent Letter:  The last few years, I sent a pre-opening letter to parents and staff.  Kady will put this letter on the website and send out a notification to staff and parents to visit the website for school opening information. 

5.  District Meeting:  The opening district meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, August 9th.  The meeting will be at 8:00 AM with the vendor fair from around 9:00 to 11:00.  Coffee and rolls will be available at the vendor fair.  The food service will be providing lunch for your staff in your buildings.  The downtown Chamber event will be from 1:00 to 3:00 along with the Open House for the new Dual Language K-1 Wing.  Ribbon Cutting around 5:30 PM (Finalize time with Chamber).

6.  Newspaper Article:  Please review and finalize any changes to the back-to-school advertisement for next week's paper.

7.  Navigate 360 Training:  The training for Level I Navigate 360 is online and can be done individually.  Like our other online training, these will need to be completed by  the assigned individual.  Once we complete this online Threat Assessment Training, we will be able to participate in a 30 minute training session on the Navigate 360 Behavioral Threat Assessment Case Manager System.  We can invite law enforcement to participate in Level I Navigate 360 online training.

8.  Leadership Team Meeting:  I will be scheduling a Leadership Team Meeting for Thursday, August 4th at 1:00 PM.  Please share any recommended changes to the team so that we can make sure all are invited to the meeting.   Threat Assessment Case Manager System training will be scheduled during that meeting (30 minutes).
