II.A. Consider, discuss and take all necessary action to appoint a new member to the Board of Education to fill the vacancy created by the recall of Guadalupe Marino.
Rationale:
The district advertised the open position on the board of education. Applications were made available to interested parties and submitted by 4:00 on Tuesday, December 20, 2022.
The board of education, in a public meeting, is to review candidate applications: Andy Arps, Jessica Chavez, Amanda Jedlicka After discussion, board members will need to make a motion to approve the resolution to appoint a new member to the board to fill the remainder of the term of office.
Recommended Motion(s):
Motion to approve the resolution to appoint ______ to the vacated position for the remainder of the term. Passed with a motion by Board Member #1 and a second by Board Member #2.
