September 24, 2014 at 9:00 AM - SCS Administration Meeting

Rationale:  1.  Walk a While in My Shoes:  Book discussion.

2.  Inventory Update:  Friday, October 3rd is the date selected to run the Audit Report for the 2013-14 Audit.  Please make sure YOU go through your staff members' inventory to confirm this update. 

3.  21st Century After-school Program:  Starting date for the after-school program is Monday, October 6th.  This program at grades K-8 will replace the tutoring program.

4.  District Webpage:  We are working with Nebraska Digital on moving our webpages over to a new host.  This will allow us greater flexibility in developing our building/staff webpages.

5.  District-wide Professional Development:  We are working on a professional development budget for the 2014-15 school year.  We have been in discussion with APL Associates to provide training for our 9-12 teachers.  The date tentatively set for this workshop is February 3, 2015.

6.  Safe Schools Program:  Mr. Gibbons has not heard back from any administrators with topics for support staff professional development or safety training.  He is open to your thoughts, but is willing to begin the program based on the areas of greatest need or reported workplace accidents.  Mr. Gibbons demonstrated the EMC School Safety Program.  He is planning on demonstrating this program on Wednesday to the Maintenance Staff and to Support Staff on Friday afternoon.
 
7.  Buildings and Grounds:  Thank you to the principals that have begun working with Ron Mundil on the building priorities for 2015.  This should also be completed by October 3rd.  You will need October and November to set a preliminary plan for 2016 through 2025. 

9.  Tech-it, Voucher, and Time Clock Reset:  We would like to release these to staff by October 1st.  Please make sure you know how to use them and report any problems you encounter.
