I. Discussion Items
Rationale:
1. January 12th Workshops: Review and Overview. We reviewed highlights from the two workshops on January 12th. Administrators shared they gained confidence that our staff sees we are trying to provide positive professional development. Forgiveness is a hard concept in our personal life, much harder in the work setting. The concept of the ME others want me to BE and how hard it is to keep that managed. We also discussed the need to hold ourselves and our staff to a high level of professionalism and demonstrate a caring attitude with our students and staff.
2. 2015-16 Calendar: The 2015-16 calender will be updated with corresponding dates from the 2014-15 calendar. We will then make recommendations to change the calendar to address any concerns or issues associated with the new school year calendar. 3. January Monthly Meeting Topics: We will begin meeting with all departments in January. Topics will include 2015-16 calendar, finance, strategic planning, professional development, contracts, requisition/inventory, transportation request program... 4. Schuyler Data Portal: We reviewed the filemaker data portal programs and visited about concerns or recommendations for changes to the system to improve the system. 5. Strategic Planning: We visited about the upcoming strategic planning meetings: We will do a short presentation at the Senior Center on January 26th. Cargill employees on January 27th, and our community leaders retreat on February 2nd. 6. Kevin Honeycutt Workshop: The technology workshops with Kevin Honeycutt are scheduled for January 29th and 30th. The building principals and Jeff Droge will meet with Dr. Hoesing to finalize the schedule for the two days. 7. APL Workshop: The APL workshop is scheduled for Tuesday, February 3rd. We will begin at 8:00 and run until 3:45 PM. The SCHS staff along with selected staff from the other buildings will be invited to attend. 8. iObservation Program: Dr. Hoesing will be visiting with the SEA about our adoption of the iObservation program. Mr. Gibbons is working on the contract and training proposal and will submit it to the board of education for their approval in February. |
