March 27, 2015 at 1:45 PM - Support Staff Monthly Meeting @ SCHS Library Annex

Rationale:  1.  Finance Report:  See attached report for March 2015

2.  Support Staff Inservice:  At the last meeting, the question was raised as to our commitment to professional development for support staff.  After some research, the support staff attended the opening day meetings, Strategic Planning Meeting, Dave Weber Workshop, and VJ Smith Workshop.  To date, staff wages for these hours along with the additional 2 hours on Fridays, we have committed over $70,000 from this year's budget for support staff training.  Dave Gibbons is the person responsible for professional development in the district.  I would suggest that for the 2015-16 school year.  Each building organize building reps to work with Mr. Gibbons on a professional development program for the school year.  

3.  Salary Schedule Review:  We reviewed the proposed support staff salary schedule.  The board will finalize this proposal and present it for board adoption in May.  2015-16 contracts will be issued upon board approval.
