Discussion:

Annual State Education Conference is Nov. 15th-17th in Omaha at the La Vista Conference Center. Please let Mr. Gegg know if you are want to go to get registered

4.c. Superintendent's Report

Discussion:

Mr. Gegg reported

Building and Grounds
- New compressor for the HVAC unit for the Library, Offices, Art room, &
  teachers workroom was installed last Friday. The old unit was probably struck by lightning.
- Roofing project is finished.
- Remodeling of Life Skills classroom is nearing completion.
2018-19 English Language Leaners & our Poverty Grants, finishing up on
these two grants that are due on Oct. 1st.
IDEA Title Grant, we’re working on this grant that’s due Sept. 15th.
I’ve received two quotes for a 59 and 65 passenger bus.
2016-17 Audit, The auditors will be visiting next week, Sept. 18th & 19th.

4.d. Elementary Principal Report

Discussion:

Mr. Kenton reported

Current Enrollment PK - 6th Grade: 150 Students
Parent Teacher Conferences September 21st 8:00 am - 8:00 pm.
Teammates Mentoring Program, Demoine Adams is currently reviewing our Request For Program packet.
School Improvement, few team members are registered for a workshop on
November 7th @ ESU 10.
Elementary MAPS Testing will be completed this week.
Currently looking into new Math curriculum, our current elementary Math curriculum is outdated and doesn’t align to the College and Career Ready Mathematics Standards.

Current 7-12 Enrollment - 141
Upcoming Activities, Dress Up Days, Parade, Pep Rally capped by FB game on Friday Homecoming vs. Loomis on 9/15
AR in the High School, SHS has taken 91 tests up to this point and have passed 83 of them, 2,256 minutes of reading each day on average between all students.
First 2:30 Early Out, Students with missing work stayed and completed until 3:30, Staff: Student Learning Targets with Dianah Steinbrink from ESU 10.
