4.c. Superintendent's Report

Discussion: Mr. Gegg reported

Recommend to the board that we delay the decision on new football lights and resurfacing the track to next year.
Like to update old gym, floor refinish and stripping, lighting to LEDs.
Plan on renovating 2 elementary and 2 high school classrooms this summer.
Have set up a QCPUF checking account to make bond payments.
NDE was here on January 25th for an all day review of the district’s nutrition program.
Staff openings are being advertised in the Omaha World Herald and the Teach Nebraska website for the next two weeks.
Letters of Intent for both certified and classified staff are going out next week.
Mr. Gegg will attend the Shelton Economic Development meetings as a representative of the district.

4.d. Elementary Principal Report

Discussion: Mr. Kenton reported

Current Pre-K through 6th Grade enrollment is 153 Student
TeamMates still recruiting mentors.
March 6th is Family STEM Night.
Preschool Roundup is scheduled for April 6th .
Kindergarten Roundup is scheduled for March 23rd.
Hoops For Heart will kick off on February 14th.
Completed mid-year MAPS Assessments end of January.
NSCAS Testing will be completed in April.

Attended Title IX training on 1/30/18 @ ESU 10
Learning Walks Scheduled for February 14th w/ Dianah Steinbrink
Wrestling: 6 boys have qualified for State • GBB: Subdistricts this week • BBB: Subdistricts next week • FFA: District Contests
Parent Teacher Conferences were February 8th, 2018, Teachers saw anywhere between 33% and 53% of the parents.
Website is up and live.

Discussion: Mrs. Meyers and Mrs. King gave a presentation on Eureka Math, the new Math curriculum the district is looking to go with.
