4.c. Superintendent's Report

Discussion: Mr. Gegg reported

Buildings & Grounds summer projects: • New WLAN (building internet) network install • New internet filtering platform installed (ESU 10), • New football field and front parking area lights • Remodel 3 classrooms • Old gym floor sanded, striped, and finished • Landscaping of front island and the new commons entry area.
Staff openings have been advertised.
Graduation was on May 12th and it went well.
Bus needs, the used minibus we purchased this year has worked out wonderfully for us. Want to look into getting another one instead of full size bus.
State & Federal Reports, 16 reports due into NDE along with various SPED and Title reports due to the U.S. Dept. of Education.

4.d. Elementary Principal Report

Current Enrollment PK - 6th Grade: 160 Students
Beginning to plan for 2018-2019 Professional Development
Teammates, we are hoping to have 10 matches made before the end of the school year.
Curriculum, Reading Mastery placement tests and working to group students accordingly, Eureka Math curriculum has been coming in, training for a group of teachers this summer and then another training for all staff will be held next August.
A.R. challenge party is set for May 15th, Shelton PTO will organize the event. There will be 4 bouncy houses, games, free slushies, and goody bags for each student who is able to attend the party. Students who met their A.R. Goal will attend the party to celebrate all their hard work this school year. A big thank you to the PTO for everything they have done for staff and students this year. They really go above and beyond.

Graduation, May 12th, 2018 - 3pm, 23 seniors graduated.
Dual Credit Offerings Expanded for 18-19, many options available via online and distance learning.
Honors Module Program 18-19, new, more flexible way to do honors classes at SHS
State Track Meet May 18th & 19th, Shelton Boys were the D-6 Champions, 9 SHS State Meet Qualifiers.
Summer Activity Informational Meeting, Tuesday (5/15/18) at 5:30pm in the new gym.
