Discussion:  Two visitors were present. Administrators Gegg, Kenton and Wieseler were present.

Discussion:  There were no requests to address the board.

Discussion:  Mr. Gegg reported on the financial status of the district.

Discussion:  Kris Spellman, Joe Berglund, and Lisa Stewart were elected to the board last week.
NASB State Education Conference Nov. 14th through the 16th in Omaha.
NASB new board members workshop Nov. 29th in Grand Island.
NASB Legislative Issues Conference Jan. 27-28 in Lincoln.

Discussion:  Mr. Gegg reported

• Buildings & Grounds items, new downspout extensions on new gym, weed spraying all grounds, storage sheds to be shingled, Tremco to come look at a roof leaks in office area.
• Current Grants completed, 2019-20 ESSA Grant, and IDEA Title IV Grant.
• We’ve received our 2017-18 audit and we'll review it in the coming months.
• 2017-18 Annual Financial Report - has been sent and approved by NDE.
• Office of Civil Rights Report has begun. 
• State Safety Inspection will occur on Dec. 6th

Discussion:  Mr. Kenton reported

• Current Enrollment PK - 6th Grade: 157 Students
• Professional Development
  • October 29th In-service dealt with College and Career Ready Standards for Science.
  • November 7th Early-Out • Trained staff on new Formal Evaluation Tool • Reviewed The Standard Response Protocol with staff members.
• Community Involvement
  • TEAMMATES Governing Board Met on October 29th.
  • Curriculum Night was held on October 23rd.
  • PBIS Meeting on November 13th.
  • Grandparents Day on November 21st @ 10:30.
• Assessment
  • FastBridge assessments is scheduled for December 10th and 12th.
  •  NSCAS District Results - beginning to look at out testing data.
  • Individual Student Reports will be mailed home in the next couple weeks with a letter explaining the information.

• Professional Development
  • 10/29 Inservice - Safety Procedures (Standard Response Protocol), 7-12 staff walked through the buildings examining all shelter areas and evacuation routes as well as off-site evacuation location.
  • 11/7/18 - Actively Learn/Classroom Discussion Training.
• Bloodmobile Hosted at SPS on 10/30/18
• Veteran’s Day Program 11/12/18 at 10am
• Mobile Produce Pantry 12/14/18 beginning at 9:30am
• Winter Sports and Activities were reviewed

Discussion:  Discussion held on the low class numbers and low participation rate of our junior high activities.

Discussion:  Discussion on the superintendent's evaluation tool and the procedure/timeline for his evaluation.
