Discussion:
Superintendent Gegg reported on financial status of the school district.

Discussion:
The board negotiation team has reached agreement with the SEA for 2017-2018 school year.
There are several up coming Board member training events, February 26-27 NASB Board President Retreat, March 14 Back to the basics of school law, June 8-9 School law seminar.

4.c. TeamMates presentation for the board.
Discussion:
Beth Roberts, TeamMates Central Nebraska coordinator presented information to the board about the TeamMates program and what it would take to begin a chapter here at Shelton Public Schools.

4.d. Superintendent's report
Discussion:
Mr. Gegg reported, Continue to look at developing our own Life Skills program for next year. We have at least two (possibly three) high needs Sped students that will need to attend a Life Skills program probably beginning next year. Have a beginning list for summer projects. Looking into eFunds electronic payment system – this is a free service that’s provided to the district by the NASB and their electronic payment vendor this provides a way for parents to pay student fee on line with a $1 or $2 transaction fee. Looking into NASB’s Choice Joint Utilities Management Program or CJUMP is an Inter-local pool created for public agencies to purchase natural gas and related services on the Black Hills Energy and SourceGas distribution systems.

4.e. Elementary Principal report
Discussion:
Mr. Kenton reported, PK - 6th Grade enrollment 161 Students. ERI coaching visit scheduled for February 14th and 15th. PK Roundup has been scheduled for February 24th. Kindergarten Roundup is scheduled for March 17th. Parent Teacher Conferences were held on February 1st and February 2nd, Preschool 93% attendance rate, Kindergarten 79 % attendance rate, First Grade 82 % attendance rate, Second Grade 88 % attendance rate, Third Grade 73% attendance rate, Fourth Grade 53% attendance rate, Fifth Grade 65% attendance rate, Sixth Grade 85 % attendance rate.

4.f. High School Principal reports
Discussion:
Mr. Wieseler reported, 7-12 Enrollment 127, Parent Teacher Conferences turnout was 45%. February 1st Inservice ALP training with Dianah Steinbrink Best practices as teachers, Specific strategies, routines, and accountability to those from a whole, staff perspective. Scheduling 2017-2018 School Year, We have begun this process with our 712 students, Early stages of choosing electives and so on, moving to setting up the actual schedule after that is done.
