10. EXECUTIVE SESSION
10.1. Discuss, consider, and take all necessary action concerning board policies 5067 (Early Graduation) and 6006 (Commencement Ceremony) and to enter into executive session to discuss the details of a student's request for early graduation.
Recommended Motion(s):  If you wish to act at this meeting: Motion for the board to enter closed session to protect the public interest; to prevent the disclosure of personally-identifiable information about students; to prevent the disclosure of confidential student records and related information; to avoid legal actions and financial penalties against the district by discussing in closed session information required to be kept confidential by state and federal law; and to receive and discuss legal advice from the school district's attorneys so as to protect the attorney-client privilege. Open session: Motion to approve DRAFT __ of policy 6006 as presented (or as amended) to take effect immediately. Open session: Motion to approve DRAFT __ of policy 5067 to take effect immediately. There are other possible motions based on what you'd like to do. Passed with a motion by Board Member #1 and a second by Board Member #2.

Motion to enter executive session to protect the public interest for the sole purpose of discussing collective bargaining with the LEA and compensation for other district personnel. 2. Motion to approve the 2017-2018 negotiated agreement and side letter agreement, as presented, with the Lexington Education Association reflecting a 3.17% total package increase over the prior year. Passed with a motion by Board Member #1 and a second by Board Member #2.
