Discussion:
The Board discussed school lunch prices with Mr. Buckingham. A suggestion to combine MS and HS lunches - therefore, saving $ by working with the same recipes, portion sizes and labor cost. Mr. Buckingham will bring information to the next meeting on what the General Fund contribution will be to determine the range and cost offset. The data is telling us these numbers/expenses are going up. How many households in our district are holding the $50 or more debt? The FDA has said we must have a policy by July 1. Mr. Buckingham will tailor a much more generic policy until Board reviews further. Mrs. Richards would like to see this issue brought in front of the community for awareness as well as the how strongly the the Board is conflicted on managing the growing debt/budget vs. showing compassion to our families.

Discussion:
Dr. Adler thanked the Board for prompt responses to the evaluation process. He prepared an overview of the comments/areas for improvement. There will be two of these a year. Mrs. Richards commented that this was an evaluation of our organization too, and it shows a healthy organization because we have healthy leadership.

Discussion:
Comments for Elementary Handbook includes: Put "Dr." Jay Irwin. Look at all handbooks for consistency. Under the clothing section - we have a District policy, so we don't need a school by school policy in the Handbook. Under MS handbook - "Dr." Jay Irwin, Mike Overkamp was misspelled. Under the Staff Handbook - Dr. Irwin commented that we should have consistent language when referring to Policy on Discrimination. In some handbooks it says gender and in some it says sex. Review together for consistency. Align grievance policies as well. HS Handbook discussion on new scheduling policy.
