Mr. Lovin reported on the following items: 1. Summer school began on June 1st for elementary and high school students. 2. Summer weight room has been open for two weeks and following guidelines on disinfecting equipment. All students also have their temperature taken upon arrival at the building. 4. Sport-specific drills are allowed now in volleyball and cross country. Football, basketball, and wrestling may begin Thursday, June 18th. Students can do individual workouts with no physical contact with others, no sharing of equipent, and no grouping. Mrs. Simmons reported on the following: 1. Professional development plans and strategies continue to develop in order to support our School Improvement Goal - All students will improve writing and language usage skills across all curricular areas. 2. The Community for Kids core team met on June 2. Justin and Kelly submitted the grant and has been approved. The school will be the group's fiscal agent. The group will be creating plans to develop a name for the organization and a survey will be developed and sent out to the community members to receive feedback on quality childcare in the are.
