1. Declaration of Intend – Open Meetings Act
Rationale:
Notice of the meeting was posted to the SEM Mustang school website, SEM Facebook, Elm Creek Beacon Observer, and over the school reach notification system for the board meeting to be held on November 13, 2023, at 7:30 P.M. The agenda was available on the SEM Mustang school website. All proceedings hereafter as shown were taken while the convened meeting was open to the attendance of the public, unless noted as executive session. This meeting was conducted in accordance with the Open Meetings Act, Chapter 84, Article 14 posted in the Superintendent's Office.

Discussion:
Mr. Matt Hothem asked for a motion to go into Executive session to discuss Collective Bargaining. In my opinion, the discussion of this matter in executive session is necessary to protect the public interest.

6.1. Consider, Discuss, and Approve Purchase of Thomas C2 2025 Freightliner 53 Passenger Capacity Bus if the Grant is Approved
Rationale:
Purchase price would be $121,730
Rebate would be $24,000 if we receive the grant The bus cost would then be $97,730 If we do not receive the grant we are not obligated to purchase the bus We would turn in the 2011 Blue Bird Bus - 36 Passenger that Connie Drives, the board transportation committee will determine the placement of the new bus and the shuffling of the route busses.
Discussion:
Motion made by Matt Hothem 2nd by Rachel Hrasky to give authorization for Dr Conradt to purchase a bus up to $150,000 with under carriage storage and racks. Look into leasing a coach bus for a year and what it would cost, also finding out what it will cost to lease a couple of vans.
