1. Declaration of Intend – Open Meetings Act
Rationale:
Notice of the Finance Meeting was posted to the SEM Mustang school website, SEM Facebook, Elm Creek Beacon, and over the school reach notification system for the board meeting to be held on March 11, 2024at 7:30 P.M. The agenda was available on the SEM Mustang school website and available in the Superintendent's Office. All proceedings hereafter as shown were taken while the convened meeting was open to the attendance of the public, unless noted as executive session. This meeting was conducted in accordance with the Open Meetings Act, Chapter 84, Article 14 posted in the School Library.

3. Dr. Conradt will Present and Discuss SEM's Financial Information
Discussion:
Dr. Conradt presented budget information for the current 2023-24 fiscal year. We are at 37.49% on expenditures, which is an excellent percentage at halfway through the year. She also presented the salary schedule for the 2024-25 school year indicating the number of teachers on each step and the total amount of salary for the 2024-25 school year for teacher salaries without horizontal movement due to additional graduate hours taken before the end of August. Also shared were 2 spreadsheets:
one was the historical revenue chart from 2000-01 to 2022-23 which indicated sources from local, county, state, federal, and non-revenue receipts; the other spreadsheet contained the history 2013-14 to 2023-24 school year land valuations, levies, tax asking, state aid, general fund expenditure, special education expenditure, certified budget authority, total allowable budget authority, and daily student membership. |
