October 8, 2018 at 7:00 PM - REGULAR MONTHLY MEETING OF THE BOARD OF EDUCATION

A motion was made by Jerry Kovarik and seconded by Janna Tripe to to approve minutes of the 2018-2019 Budget Hearing and Tax Request Hearing which were held prior to the Regular September meeting of the Alma Public Schools Board of Education. After discussion and on roll call vote the Board voted as follows: Passed.

A motion was made by Scott Prickett and seconded by Jerry Kovarik to approve minutes of regular September 2018 meeting. After discussion and on roll call vote the Board voted as follows: Passed.

A motion was made by Janna Tripe and seconded by Scott Prickett to approve Board Report, as presented. After discussion and on roll call vote the Board voted as follows: Passed.

A motion was made by Jerry Kovarik and seconded by Brett Hammond to Activity Fund financial. After discussion and on roll call vote the Board voted as follows: Passed.

A motion was made by Janna Tripe and seconded by Brett Hammond to approve the receipts, expenditures, and payment of claims from the General Fund for $415,617.58, Lunch Fund for $23,709.58, and from Activity Fund for $20,308.74.. After discussion and on roll call vote the Board voted as follows: Passed.

A motion was made by Scott Prickett and seconded by Brett Hammond to approve the amendment and waive the second reading of the Random Drug Testing policy #5307 (re: Prescription Drug Testing Policy). After discussion and on roll call vote the Board voted as follows: Passed.

A motion was made by Jerry Kovarik and seconded by Janna Tripe to approve borrowing the money from Banner Capital Bank for the new 2020 Blue Bird bus, so we can meet the requirements to receive the grant $. After discussion and on roll call vote the Board voted as follows: Passed.
