Discussion:
Dr. Gannon reported on the financial status of the District.

4.b. Board Report
Discussion:
Stewart and Gannnon provided an update on the NASB annual membership meeting held in Kearney Sept 8th. Americanism committee will meet next month directly after the regular board meeting.

4.c. Superintendent's Report
Discussion:
SPS received a generous donation from Ken Schepers. Admin team is working to finalize how that money will be spent. Dr. Gannon has submitted grant applications for ESSER III funds and High Ability Learners. Work continues on the new front end for our district HVAC system. Work is being done this week to resurface the high jump pad and runways. NDE postponed development of Health Standards at this time.

4.d. Principal's Report
Discussion:
Current enrollment is 285. Nebraska Reading Improvement Act assessments have been completed for the Fall. Fall MAP testing has been completed and will be shared with parents at Parent Teach Conf this Wednesday & Thursday. Mr. Kenton reported on athlete numbers for fall sports. Staff have been working hard to implement practices learned in professional development, primarily focusing on learning targets, success criteria, and student teaming. The Admin team has completed trend walks and will share data next month.

5.a. Discussion regarding NDE Health Education Standards
Discussion:
Mrs. Thober and Jackie Cornelius spoke about the health education curriculum they currently teach students at Shelton Public schools. The board appreciated the staff members for speaking on this topic and provided positive feedback with the content currently being taught.

5.b. Discussion and decision regarding the Employee Assistance Program continuation for the 21-22 school year.
