Discussion:
City Administrator Tom Ourada stated that there had been discussion about this. City Administrator Tom Ourada had discussions with Mayor Dave Bauer, City Attorney Anna Burge and Chief of Police Gary Young about this and what other communities are doing. Ourada asked Chief Young about enforcement. The Public Safety Committee agreed to recommend to the City Council to approve the first reading for Ordinance 2279.

3.B. Resolution 2026-16 authorizing mayor to sign Crete Area Medical Center MOU 
Discussion:
City Administrator Tom Ourada stated that this is an agreement that the City of Crete has had over the years with Crete Area Medical Center. Ourada explained that Dr. Gutierrez with Saline Medical Specialties sent a letter explaining that they provide the same services. Ourada explained that the agreement with CAMC is not exclusive. 
City Attorney Anna Burge explained that Mayor Bauer is signing and accepting this on behalf of the community that this is being provided in our community. If Saline Medical Specialties were eligible, then that could be brought to the City Council.
