Discussion:
City Administrator Tom Ourada explained that there is a lot work to be done with the camping ordinance. Some of it can be done through a rules process. Ourada explained that we are on a national site for people that have Electric Vehicles to plug in.  People thinking that they can come to Tuxedo Park to charge their vehicles for free and it is not free. Arguably they would pay the camping rate. That would be easiest way to deal with it. Parks and Recreation Committee member Kyle Frans asked what the difference is for paying the camping rate and paying for charging. Ourada explained that there is a lot of difference. There are subtleties to this. Park and Recreation technically can not resell electricity it is against state law. The city can resell electricity but if someone was to come in to charge we would have to go in and read the meter and create an account. If we do it as a camping ordinance then it is the same as camping for a day which would cover the utility cost.
Park and Recreation Committee member Ashley Newmyer asked about the charging stations by City Park and Ourada explained that they are by credit card.
