Superintendent
Discussion:
Superintendent. May 22 is our last day of school for students with our recognition award ceremony for staff in the afternoon. Will start moving things out of rooms while kids are still present, so they can help. May 23rd is the last scheduled day for teachers, so they can get things cleared/cleaned up and stored for the summer. On May 24th, the subcontracts will start their preparation. The last report I received was that electricians are ahead of schedule, they have been working hard all summer to prepare for this. Our foreman, with Boyd Jones, states his goal is to have us in by August 1st, and we will notify teachers and office staff to start moving things back in. We will try to get some groups to help prepare the buildings for the first day. National Honor Society has already volunteered to help out. Board meetings will be held at the elementary as well as my office for the summer, but I will be up at the high school to make sure things are running smoothly. The Open Meetings Act has been updated and one change for us will be public comment. It will need to be on the agenda of all meetings going forward.
