Discussion:
City Administrator Tom Ourada explained that ALLO Crete, LLC is asking for $45,000 for their office renovations. ALLO had talked about having an office and were looking at different communities from around the area Crete, Milford and Seward. We told them that if they located an office here in Crete they might be able to receive assistance through LB840.
ALLO Crete, LLC has signed a long-term lease at 1228 Main Ave #2, Crete. They plan to have about 7 employees and a base in the back for service crews. Ourada pointed out that with the LB840 program the City pays upon receipts and up to the actual cost. 3.D. Consider a recommendation to the City Council on the request for payment on interest on DTR program loan from Mary Moser.
|
||
Discussion:
City Administrator Tom Ourada stated that when business owners signed the agreements for the DTR funds they knew that they would have to come up with the funds needed for the renovations. Other businesses took out loans as well to pay the contractors and they also accrued interest.
Committee member Tom Crisman stated that if they did this for one business owner, they would have to do it for all. They recommended denying the request for payment of the interest on the loan. |
