Superintendent Report
Discussion:
Mr. Apple, Superintendent. Absent, read by Welch. There will be a power outage for a week at the high school this summer. Apple will be attending NRCSA convention later this week in Kearney.
Building Project Committee update - Mark Pfister is our Boyd Jones project manager. Updating on work that has been done in the building thus far. Most work has been done on the ceiling, so not much to see. As soon as school is out, the entirety of the ceiling will come down for the new system to be installed. Scheduled power outage for March 28. Work will gear up towards the end of the school year. Welch reviewed the results, surveyed over 300 voters in the district and will post to the school website. Approved a bond resolution on 2/28/24 for May election for 33 million, focusing on 3 main points: security, enhancing education for students, and maintaining a good tax rate. Will put out another mailer, possibly another postcard and posting Information on the website. There will also be a Facebook live meeting, 2 community meetings and a parent meeting in an attempt to reach as many community members as possible. |
