Discussion:  November Zac Lauenstein School Resource Officer Assesset to the district goes above and beyond to help students and staffs. Help kids make correct choices.

4.1. Superintendent Report

Discussion:  Vetern Day programs at MS and HS both programs and the quality of the presentations. 650 kids at MS listen to Irqu vet pin drop. Quality kids at High. Charecter see the response to adversity. Talked about the football season. Hard season easy for team/coaches lose focus and blame. They took charge and did not loose focus but how to get better. Our staff does the same thing academically. Congrats to vollyball making it to State. District policy does state if participate during the day for vollyball, or basketball. Game time is 9:00 in Grand Island. Dismiss for the day with possible recommendation to makeup days. If we are striving to be among the best we might need to make up. Discuss at COW. Susan Wait what can do to support local business and how to buy local. Do a raffel drawing local up to 25 dollars receipt into drawing on Dec 20. Strengths our community and economy and sschool American Ed week is next week. Nove 18-22. Have given board suggestion as to what might consider doing Nov 20-22 State Ed Conference. Friday info Volkswind are a group looking to do some work with wind farms. Wanted local acencies to have info and asking for letter of support. Talked with John Blas that he would share info. Board usually do not usually write letters of support for a local business. Board could if want to or do it indiviually.

5. Public Forum/Citizen's Requests/Comments Related to Agenda Items
Discussion:  Kerry Butt School on Thursday would make everyone gone to vollyball more home work. Could have short class with kids gone. Traffic Light - Lincoln Staff transporting kids safelty accross the street thanks to staff making sure kids are always safe. Brent Merisen - Vetrans day. All classes did not get to go and the should have that opportunity. Gregg Campion - No school Thursday or Friday if we win. If loose then it is school no school and then school again is dumb. Jim - Mr. Sutter who gets to go and who does not. The veterns association hold and this in the hevelone center it is mostly room as it seats only 800 with 650 being students. Also makes this easier than blechers for vets. This morning we had about 350 special guests.
