4.1. Superintendent Report

Discussion:  Committe of the Whole June 27 meeting. Talked with Lisa about the need. No program or curriculum report. Talked with Pat. No not to just meet for him. Up to Board if you would like to have present he would. He will plan to meet before July meeting with each board meeting for an hours. What might have merit a social meeting - early in July grill hambergers, not a meeting rule to meet just causally. Dr. Baker thinks it is good idea. No Committee of the Whole meeting.Mitch and Lisa will organize a social. Last meeting for Dr. Baker. It has been interesting and he has enjoyed learing about our district, community and staff. Most interesting. This is last Board meeting ever.

Discussion:  Randy Nelson - Thank you for allowing me come and visit with you. Excited to have Beatrice back in our group with 40-50 students already signed up. Beatrice will be a leader. Recognize Dr. Baker. Randy has known roy for many years. 6 Years ago Randy retired from sup and had opportunity at SCC to developm a Career Academy. Dr. Baker was a founder of Career Acadamey along with a few if we provide Senior opportunties to challenge seniors that is of value dual credit and career academy. Five years ago rolled out with 16 schools now 37 schools. Credit for leaderhip to Roy Baker to getting this going. Presented Dr. Baker a plaque Cerfiicate of Appreciation Caree Academy.

4.3.1. GNSA/Legislative Update

Discussion:  Done with session so really not much to report. TOSA had the most effect. Voto the money into State Retirement Plan, but it was override. Millard, Omaha and Lincoln got the most money. Those with growing enrollments. GNSA cancelled the last meeting due to conflict amongs the schools pited against others this was a first that have had this happen. This may cause some schools to break off and form their own and this will be too bad. It started off well with sup and board memeber and then others got involved. They need to back to roots of how they worked. Represent 86% of students in Nebraska. South Souix did drop out

Discussion:  John J presented the changes and gave an overview of the handbook
