2.A. Recognition of the Kearney High School Band for Superior Rating in Division I at Bandmasters' Competition
Rationale:  We will recognize the KHS Band Director and Assistant Director and the three drum majors for the band's superior rating in Division I at the recent Bandmasters' Competition.
2.B. Annual Financial Audit Report
Rationale:  Representatives of McDermott & Miller PC accounting firm will report on the financial audit of the school district that was conducted in late September. 
2.C. Report on Kearney Public Schools Career Education Framework
Rationale: 

Jason Sutton, Director of Curriculum, Instruction and Assessment, will report on the work being done on the district's Career Education Framework.

2.D. Announcement of "American Education Week"
Rationale: 

The Kearney Public Schools will be observing "American Education Week", November 13-19, 2016 and one of the primary activities will be the annual KPS/UNK "American Education Week" New Staff & Community Reception on Tuesday, November 15th from 4:00 to 5:30 P.M. at the Frank House on the UNK west campus.

New staff from both institutions, administrative staff, Board of Education, and community guests will be in attendance. 

Other activities are planned in the individual buildings in observance of this special week.

4. Regular Agenda - Personnel
4.A. Acceptance of Resignation & Retirement Resignation
Rationale: 

We have received a letter of resignation from Elizabeth Lindner, math teacher at Kearney High School, effective the end of the 2016-2017 school year; and a letter of retirement resignation from Chris Hunnicutt, English teacher at Kearney High School, effective the end of first semester of the 2016-2017 school year.   We will ask the Board of Education to accept these resignations, with regret.
