4.A. Approval of Purchase of School Bus
Rationale:  For the 2017-2018 school year, we would like to replace our 2007 65-passenger route bus.  We invited 3 companies to bid on a new bus and offered our 2007 Thomas bus as a trade-in.  We also received an offer to purchase the 2007 trade-in bus outright from Coach Masters of Kearney for $6,500, so we will be selling the 2007 bus outright, which will bring the two lowest bids to a $601.00 difference in price.  The bid sheet for the buses is attached.  We will recommend the bid from Cornhusker International of Lincoln for a 2018 Integrated CE S bus, at a cost of $91,800.00.  We believe the International bus exceeds the other buses in quality and added safety features.
