Rationale:  We will ask the Board of Education to approve the Agreement to Purchase this year's Construction Technology Class project house submitted by Adam and Summer Vosika for the purchase price of $294,900.00. The location of the house is Lot 10, Block 8 of Fountain Hills Fifth Addition to the City of Kearney, Buffalo County, Nebraska, or 4706 16th Avenue Place. Closing is scheduled for June 26, 2020.
Recommended Motion(s):  Move to approve the Agreement to Purchase the Construction Technology Class project house at Lot 10, Block 8, Fountain Hills Fifth Addition to the City of Kearney, Buffalo County, Nebraska, or 4706 16th Avenue Place, with Adam and Summer Vosika, for the purchase price of $294,900.00, and authorize Mr. Chris Nelson to sign all forms and documents to execute said sale.

Rationale:  We will ask the Board of Education to approve the employment of the following certificated staff in the Kearney Public Schools for the 2020-2021 school year:  Matthew Richardson, BA, Step 1, 1.00 FTE English/Language Arts teacher at Kearney High School (contingent upon his ability to secure appropriate certification); Sandra Hanson, MA+45, Step 8, 1.00 FTE reading/math teacher at Horizon Middle School; and Megan Chamberlain, BA, Step 1, .50 FTE pre-school teacher at Bright Futures (contingent upon her ability to secure appropriate certification).

5.A. Acceptance of Bid for Chromebooks & Computer Labs
Rationale:  Requests for quotes were sent out to multiple vendors for 6th grade, 9th grade, and elementary Chromebooks, and computer lab upgrades on April 16, 2020 and bids were received on May 25, 2020.  We received four proposals for Chromebooks and five proposals for the lab replacement machines.  These proposals were reviewed based on the district's requirements of the device and the evaluation rubric.

Based on these quotes, it is our recommendation that both bids for the project be awarded to Computer Hardware in the amount of $298,381.32 for the Chromebooks, and $72,870.00 for the computer labs.
