2.A. Recognition of Lerrin Rowe, "2017 Nebraska High School Physical Education Teacher of the Year"
Rationale: 

We will ask the Board of Education to recognize Lerrin Rowe, physical education teacher at Kearney High School, for being named the 2017 Nebraska High School Physical Education Teacher of the Year, by the Society of Health and Physical Educators of Nebraska.  She received this award in November at the annual SHAPE Nebraska Fall Conference.

2.B. Recognition of Amber Lewis, Nebraska Association of Student Councils' "Advisor of the Year"
Rationale: 

We will ask the Board of Education to recognize Amber Lewis, social studies teacher at Kearney High School, for being named the Nebraska Association of Student Councils' "Advisor of the Year".

2.C. Facilities Report
Rationale: 

Kent Cordes from BD Construction will report on the progress of the two construction projects underway at Northeast and Buffalo Hills Elementary Schools.

Mr. Jason Mundorf, Associate Superintendent, will present the NDE 2017 "Nebraska Education Profile" Report for the Kearney Public Schools.

4.A. Acceptance of Resignations
Rationale: 

We have received letters of resignation from P.J. O'Neill, business teacher at Kearney High School; and Brad Archer, physical education teacher at Kearney High School, effective December 21, 2017, the end of first semester of the 2017-2018 school year.  We have also received letters of resignation from Darla Langenberg, 2nd grade teacher at Central Elementary School; and Michael Anderson, Title I math teacher at Northeast Elementary School; effective the end of the 2017-2018 school year.

Recommended Motion(s):  Move to accept the resignations of P.J.
