2.A. Recognition of the KHS FCCLA State Conference Winners
Rationale:  We will ask the Board of Education to recognize the following 1st and 2nd place winners at the FCCLA State Conference competition:

Leslie Aspen (2nd place in Fashion Construction-senior)
Milli Caprian (2nd place in Advocacy-junior)
Ivan Molina, Colten Renken, Molly Walker, Joselinne Gomez (1st place in FCCLA Quiz Bowl-written test)
2.B. Recognition of the KHS FBLA State Leadership Conference 1st and 2nd Place Winners
Rationale:  We will ask the Board of Education to recognize the following 1st and 2nd place winners at the 2019 State FBLA Leadership Conference:

1st place - Marketing (national qualifier) - Miguel Guerrero, Benjamin Soria & Harish Yerra
1st place - Parliamentary Procedure written exam (national qualifier) - Isabella Cao
2nd place - Parliamentary Procedure Team - Kylee Sponenburgh, Gabi Hoffman, Isabella Cao, and Rachel Waugh
 
2.C. Recognition of KHS Quiz Bowl State Runner-up Team
Rationale:  The KHS Quiz Bowl team placed second in the State Quiz Bowl competition in Holdrege on April 24th.  The team lost to Elkhorn South in the championship round in a close match.  Members of the team included juniors Tyler Wong, Chinyere Obasi, and Joe Paysen; sophomores Kalu Obasi, Matthew Dahlke, Brian Barua, Eli Cordes and Alyssa Eppler; and freshmen Taylor Wickham, Seth Choi, and Daniel McCarty.  The sponsor for the team is Kathleen Brodine, KHS English teacher.
2.D. KHS Band Trip Update
Rationale:  As requested by the Board, Nathan LeFeber will give an update on plans for the Kearney High School band trip to Germany and the Czech Republic.
2.E. Facilities Report
Rationale:  Kent Cordes of BD Construction will report to the Board of Education on progress being made on the Northeast Elementary School construction and renovation project, and the upcoming construction and renovation projects at Sunrise Middle School and Kearney High School.

Rationale:  The KHS FBLA Chapter is asking permission to attend the 2019 FBLA National Leadership Conference to be held June 28-July 3, 2019 in San Antonio, TX.
 
Recommended Motion(s):  Move to approve the KHS FBLA Chapter trip to the 2019 FBLA National Leadership Conference, June 28-July 3, 2019 in San Antonio, TX, with no direct cost incurred by the school district.
3.E. Approval of the KHS FCCLA Chapter Trip to the FCCLA National Leadership Conference, June 30-July 4, 2019 in Anaheim, CA.
Rationale:  The KHS FCCLA Chapter is requesting permission for Milli Ciprian to attend the FCCLA National Leadership Conference, June 30-July 4, 2019, in Anaheim, CA.
FCCLA sponsor, Jen Cramer, and the student's mother will also make the trip.

4.A. Approval of the Revised Kearney Public Schools Student Fee Schedule for the 2019-2020 School Year
Rationale:  We have made revisions to the Kearney Public Schools Student Fee Schedule for the 2019-2020 school year and we will ask the Board of Education to approve the revised schedule.  They include:

Transportation Fee - $123.00 to $127.00
Lunch Fee - 5-cent increase
Instrument Rental - $55.00 to $65.00 for orchestra instruments, $120.00 to $130.00 for band instruments
Activity Tickets - $50.00 to $55.00
Facility Use Fees - 3% increase
